It’s no wonder it’s considered Australia’s best artisan granola. We use pure Australian honey, and blend it with Australian rolled oats, walnuts, almonds, and sunflower oil, add seeds and coconut, then slowly roast it to crunchy deliciousness.
Irrewarra started baking granola at our café in Geelong in the early 2000s as part of the café’s breakfast menu. We served it with yoghurt or milk and seasonal fruits. Granola was developed in the USA during the health-food revolution of the 1970s as an alternative to mass-produced, processed commercial breakfast cereals. Our Granola has all the goodness of Swiss-style raw muesli, but it’s slowly roasted in honey and plant-based oil to create a crunchy, luxurious and absolutely delicious natural breakfast cereal. Irrewarra’s granola was such a hit in the café, we converted our recipe to produce larger batches and baked it in our bread ovens which were empty but still warm after the day’s bake. Today, we bake over three tonnes of granola weekly, delivered fresh to stores daily. We encourage stores to order only what they need so you get it freshly baked.
